On February 22, 2024, the third exhibition of the art project “The stone embroideries of Nova Kakhovka in textiles” was opened in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic in the gallery “Spolkový dům Kutná Hora”.
The event was officially opened by the Mayor of the city of Kutna Hora Lukáš Seifert, the representative of the Ukrainian Embassy in the Czech Republic, Mr. Vitaliy Usatii, charge d’affaires, thе head of the Department of Tourism, Education and Culture of the city of Kutna Hora Dagmar Ostranska and the author of the project Tanya Bolharova.
The exhibition features 12 textile wall panels – copies of the “stone embroideries” of Nova Kakhovka, built in the 1950s during the construction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and the North Crimean Canal. “The stone embroideries” were created based on the sketches of the famous Ukrainian monumental artist Hryhoriy Dovzhenko.
