Bold Cat in Purple Art Tote

The cat is reduced to what makes it instantly recognisable: one watchful eye, a sharp profile and a sweep of color moving across the front of the bag. Most of the surface is deliberately restless – curved fragments, strong contrasts, colors pressing against one another. Beside them, a broad field of violet stays almost completely quiet. That imbalance is what holds the composition together.

This is not a quiet purple tote bag. The color catches the eye first; then comes the cat, the texture and the unexpected depth of the embroidery. It changes with distance and with movement – and it rarely passes unnoticed.

The cat is built entirely by hand in dense punch-needle embroidery, with each field of color shaped separately to keep the contours crisp and the surface richly textured. The padded, structured body gives the embroidery its raised, almost three-dimensional presence.
